Elements of the popular ‘Garden’ collection are included in these pieces which use vitreous enamel to introduce colour. Vitreous enamel is glass, applied in this layers, each of which is kiln fired at temperatures in excess of 800 degree c. The resulting colours are really beautiful and often produce unique effects as the coulee reacts with the copper underneath. I always enamel both sides of my pieces and use lead free enamels.
